Spring Estate Agents attends the Sailors' Families' Society Sportsman's Lunch.

On Friday the 16th of October Spring Estate Agents where invited by Williamsons Solicitors to attend the Sailors' Families' Society Sportsman's Lunch at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Willerby.
This annal event was generously sponsored by Williamsons Solicitors and the guest speaker, Mr Dennis Taylor snooker world champion, was sponsored by NatWest.

The Sailors Family Society’s purpose is to help Seafarers children who are in full-time education and the families are in severe financial difficulties. The majority of the families we support are single parent. However we do support two parent families where one of the parents is too ill or disabled to work and the other acts as the carer. The Society currently supports over 450 children whose families have served in the fishing fleets or the Royal or Merchant Navies.

The event was very well supported by over 300 local business people and they all enjoyed an excellent three course meal, which was followed by guest speaker, Mr Dennis Taylor and the hilarious charity auction & raffle. In total the event raised over £20,000 for the society and a fantastic afternoon was had by all.

Managing Director Govind Manocha said "I was fantastic to be invited to this even once again and help raise some funds for a very worthy charity. It also helps strengthen our links with Williamsons Solicitors with whom we are very proud to be associated with".

This contract came after Spring Estate Agents became the online marketing agents for their latest development, The Sawmill in Hull at the start of 2009 and during that time have been able to demonstrate their expertise in web media and Internet marketing which resulted in them being selected for this project.

Spring Estate Agents Supports Local Schools Business Enterprise Day


Last week saw Spring Estate Agents spend the day with year 9 pupils from Hull Trinity School as part of their enterprise day.

The event was organised by the schools Young Chamber in association with the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce and both Spring Estate Agents and Jenko Graphics helped facilitate the day.

The event was a huge success with lots of positive feedback from the pupils and it is proposed that this event will now become part of the schools calender.

Managing director of Spring Estate Agents, Govind Manocha said. 'I am passionate about youth enterprise as I wish we did this when I was at school. I think it is a huge honour to be involved with a local school and help inspire young people to start thinking about enterprise activities. I look forward to working closely with the school over the coming years as they aim to encourage enterprise studies across the curriculum'.

Spring Estate Agents Displays At Hull's Business Expo 2009

Spring Estate Agents in association with Finehouse Ltd host a stand at this years Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. The event is the biggest business to business event in the region and attracted over 2500 visitors over the two days.

This is the first year that Spring Estate Agents have displayed at the Expo and decided to use the event to promote its most prestigious development The Sawmill, which is a 48 apartment development on Dock Street in Hull.

Spring Estate Agents Have Been Nominated As One Of Britain's Best Local Businesses.

Spring Estate Agents has been nominated by one of its clients as one of Britain's best local businesses.

The competition is run by The Sun newspaper in association with Barclays Bank and they have asked the nation to help find and recognise the best local businesses in their area.


The first price is £20,000 cash, a one-to-one mentoring session with retail magnate Theo Paphitis and a 3 year business support package. There are eight runner up prizes of £5000 and all the winning businesses could be featured in The Sun newspaper.


Managing director Govind Manoha said "Once again I am delighted that our hard work has been recognised and I am optimistic about about chances. If we do win a prize this would provide a real marketing boost to the business and allow us to bring forward some work that will create additional office space.

Spring Estate Agents Meets John Holmes, Chief Executive of Hull Forward.

Govind Manocha from Spring Estate Agents & Bill Moore from aSmilingWorld meets with John Holmes the Chief Executive at Hull Forward to discuss regeneration within the city.

John joined Hull Forward from Regional Development Agency One North East, where he was Director of Regeneration and Tourism. John, a Chartered Surveyor, was born in County Durham and has over 20 years experience in the public and private sector in major physical, economic and social regeneration, housing and economic development.

Spring Estate Agents Meets Alan Johnson

Govind Manocha from Spring Estate Agents & Ken Osborne from The Sawmill went to meet with Alan Johnson the Hull West & Hessle MP to discuss the current mortgage lending situation and highlight some of the problems that first-time-buyers are currently facing within the city.

Mr Johnson appreciated us taking the time and bringing the current problem to his attention and subsequently sent a letter to Mrs Margaret Beckett (Minister for Housing and Planning) asking for clarification.

It is now believed that the Government has requested an independent enquiry that is looking into the current levels of lending following the massive Government bailout of the banks.

Spring Estate Agents marks its first anniversary by hosting a party that was attended by about 50 close friends and business associates.



The evening was a huge success and we also managed to raise £130 for Sunshine House Children’s Unit on Walker Street that offers short breaks for children with complex health needs.

Hull City Centre Development Hailed By The Hull Civic Society.

A new hi-tech residential development has been hailed by the Hull Civic Society.
Ken Osborne and Julie Hare, developers behind the Sawmill Apartments, believe the city centre building represents the future of Hull. The Hull-born couple said they believe the city should be on a par with the likes of Leeds, Manchester and London.

Society president John Netherwood presented the couple with the prestigious Good Mark Award for the building, in Dock Street, city centre, which is the tallest timber-framed building in the north of England.

Ms Hare, who lives in Hessle, said after the award presentation: "We wanted to create a development in our own town that would help get rid of this unfair image of Hull as a second-rate city."

One of the most impressive features is the home automation system, which allows residents to text instructions to the computerised system so they can run a bath or switch the heating on before they even get home.

Ms Hare said: "We are also proud of the eco-friendly aspects. The apartments are well-insulated and energy-efficient."

Mr Osborne said he was delighted to receive the award for the 48-apartment building. He said: "We have lived and breathed this development and we are very proud of it.
"It means a lot to receive this recognition."

Mr Netherwood said such developments are important for the city.
He said: "With its quality materials, this has raised the bar in Hull and is an interesting addition to the streetscape. "We are also pleased the development has provided underground car parking."

The complex include one, two and three-bedroom apartments and prices range from £110,000 to £166,000. The couple are now creating three town houses and a restaurant on the George Street side in phase two of the development.
