Govind Manocha from Spring Estate Agents & Ken Osborne from The Sawmill went to meet with Alan Johnson the Hull West & Hessle MP to discuss the current mortgage lending situation and highlight some of the problems that first-time-buyers are currently facing within the city.Mr Johnson appreciated us taking the time and bringing the current problem to his attention and subsequently sent a letter to Mrs Margaret Beckett (Minister for Housing and Planning) asking for clarification.
It is now believed that the Government has requested an independent enquiry that is looking into the current levels of lending following the massive Government bailout of the banks.
